Grant Wood AEA Regional Administrators

Each school district and accreditated private school within the seven-county service area has a Grant Wood AEA Regional Team and Regional Administrators.

 

The Regional Administrator is available to the administrative team of the school district to provide a ready link to all AEA services, to help organize the delivery of those services to schools, and to locate other resources that might be useful. They will collaborate with district personnel in the development of district-AEA service plans. Regional Administrators are also knowledgeable about special education and school law, or know how to get the information quickly.

At the agency, Regional Administrators meet frequently and have quick access to agency administration. They soon become advocates for their districts and can be instrumental in the development of new or customized services or procedures. Meeting often with the administrative teams of their assigned districts and schools, they are familiar with the direction, goals and needs of the district, especially the components of the School Improvement plan. Then they are able to suggest what AEA services might fit the district's goals and what ways could strengthen the school-AEA partnership.
